Accreditation enhances training opportunities for child care professionals
WASHINGTON — ZERO TO THREE has been awarded the Accredited Provider accreditation by the International Association for Continuing Education And Training.
To receive this prestigious status, ZERO TO THREE had to demonstrate its commitment to best practices in professional training and successfully master IACET’s rigorous accreditation process.
“Becoming an IACET Continuing Education Unit provider is one more way ZERO TO THREE is showing its dedication to improving the lives of infants and toddlers,” said Matthew Melmed, executive director of ZERO TO THREE. “We are proud to be able to offer the highest quality continuing education and training programs to professionals in a wide range of disciplines and settings who support infants, toddlers and their families.”
IACET advances the global workforce by providing the standard framework for quality learning and development through accreditation around the world. It uses in-depth research on the learning process and a nationwide network of experts to help continuing education and training providers to develop a framework for continuous improvement and a superior learning experience.
“This accreditation will enhance our already top-notch ongoing education programs for professionals who work with very young children,” said Melmed. “We look forward to awarding CEUs for our professional development programs, including sessions offered at our Annual Conference this December.”
The IACET accreditation period covers the next five years and will include all applicable education programs offered by ZERO TO THREE.
