Social-Emotional Health & Well-being: California’s Babies and Families

California is home to nearly 1.4 million infants and toddlers, representing 3.4 percent of the state’s population.

While California advocates continue to promote strong policies that put infants and toddlers on the right course there’s still room to improve the drivers of health and development at the earliest possible moment, so we can improve the long-term outlook for health and well-being and prevent future problems along the way.

During the webinar, experts from The Children’s Partnership and ZERO TO THREE discussed how to leverage the State of Babies 2022 data within the context of the Social Determinants of Health framework to continue making the case for policies that address the needs of infants, toddlers, and their families.
