Jessica Beach, MPH, is a ZERO TO THREE Fellow. She is Tribal Relations Program Manager for WellCare Health Plans of North Carolina.
Ms. Jessica Beach serves on the Public Affairs Team as the Tribal Relations Program Manager for WellCare of North Carolina, where she uses her expertise in Tribal Engagement to work with Community and Tribal partners to build awareness of Medicaid transformation in North Carolina. Ms. Beach leads the WellCare NC Healthy Nations Program, which is focused on increasing positive health outcomes for Medicaid beneficiaries through culturally responsive and competent approaches to managed care.
Ms. Beach focuses on connecting beneficiaries to community and culturally competent resources that improve health outcomes for the individual and their community. As Tribal Relations Program Manager, she works across the state of North Carolina with Tribal leaders, health providers, and community partners to increase access to care and support health systems navigation for Tribal members statewide. Ms. Beach also co-chairs the WellCare NC Children’s Health Taskforce, an initiative created to identify best practices, resources, and creative approaches to supporting young children and their families, as a health plan through Medicaid transformation.
Prior to her time at WellCare, Ms. Beach worked for the State of Arizona’s Early Childhood Development and Health Board as the Regional Director for the White Mountain Apache Tribe. In this role, she collaborated with local leaders to expand access to high-quality, culturally responsive, early childhood development and health resources. Additionally, Ms. Beach facilitated the coordination and collaboration of various early childhood development and health organizations, agencies, and community partners both regionally and statewide.
Ms. Beach holds a Master of Public Health from the University of Arizona and a Master of Public Administration from Arizona State University.
