What the mission means to Katrina
I will always proudly identify as an early childhood educator, even though it has been a few years since I worked directly with young children. The title of early childhood educator is one I hold close to my heart, and it continues to inspire my work at ZERO TO THREE, I am dedicated to supporting and empowering early childhood professionals through resources and professional development that equip them to meet the unique needs of the children and families in their care.
Professional Background
Katrina leads the Critical Competencies for Infant-Toddler Educators™ and The Growing Brain: From Birth to 5 Years professional development programs at ZERO TO THREE. She plays a key role in creating and delivering research-based, evidence-informed content and presents regularly at state, regional, and national conferences. Katrina also manages the Trainer Certification process for both the Critical Competencies and The Growing Brain programs, supporting trainers across the U.S. and internationally to deliver high-quality training to early childhood professionals. Additionally, she hosts ZERO TO THREE’s monthly Virtual Member Events, fostering community engagement and facilitating expert-led discussions to advance knowledge and practice in the field.
Future Vision
Katrina remains dedicated to advocating for early childhood professionals by developing accessible, research-based content that highlights the importance of early brain development and the power of intentional, reflective practices in early childhood education. She aspires to elevate the recognition of early childhood professionals as essential brain architects, shaping the future.
